DES MOINES/REDONDO/NORMANDY PARK SENIOR SHUTTLE 206-727-6262
This service is open to all residents of Des Moines, Redondo, and Normandy Park only.  All rides are on a first come basis.  There is no application to fill out – just sign up for service by phone.  We provide rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, banking, trips to the Activity Center, and other local errands…anywhere people need to go within our service area.  The service area extends from 140th S in Burien to 279th St in Des Moines and East to I-5.  We offer service to Federal Way to 348th on Friday only.  The Senior Shuttle operates Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm.  It is wheelchair-lift equipped.  There is no charge for the service, however donations are appreciated.

We offer flexible hours and no heavy lifting.  We provide supplemental insurance and mileage reimbursement for our Volunteer Transportation Drivers who drive their own cars.  Our Senior Shuttle Volunteers receive free specialized training in defensive driving, passenger assistance and first aid/CPR.  Shuttle drivers do not need a special driver’s license.  All of our drivers love what they do.  Join them and volunteer to help in your community!

METRO ACCESS Transportation
Curb-to-curb public transportation.  Days and hours match regular bus service.  Advance reservation required.  Driver assistance in getting on and off the vehicle.  Registration is required.  Call (206) 263-3113 for application information.

 
 
 

Metro Bus Passes

Get your Regional Reduced Fare Permit application at the center if you are 65 years of age or older,  or disabled. The cost is $3. This permit allows you to ride the bus for $.50 each way.
