DES MOINES-REDONDO-NORMANDY PARK SENIOR SHUTTLE (206-727-6262) All rides are on a first come basis. There is no application to fill out – just sign up for service by phone. We provide rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, banking, trips to the Activity Center, and other local errands…anywhere people need to go within our service area. The service area extends from 140th S in Burien to 348th S in Federal Way and East to I-5. The Senior Shuttle operates Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. It is wheelchair-lift equipped. There is no charge for the service; however with rising fuel prices, donations are appreciated.
MONDAY MALL RUNS 2008 (206-727-6262) Join us for a trip to the mall. We will pick you up at your home around 9am and usually have you back home by 3pm. Get your friends together for a day of fun!! METRO BUS PASSES Get your Regional Reduced Fare Permit application at the center of you are 65 years or older, or disabled. The cost is $3. The permit allows you to ride the bus for $.50 each way.
METRO ACCESS TRANSPRTATION Curb-to-curb public transportation. Days and hours match regular bus service. Advance reservation required. Driver assistance in getting on and off the vehicle. Registration is required. Call (206) 263-3113 for application information.
DRIVERS WANTED: SENIOR SHUTTLE & VOLUNTEER TRANSPORTATION SERVICE We offer flexible hours and no heavy lifting. Our Senior Shuttle Volunteers receive free specialized training in defensive driving, passenger assistance and first aid/CPR. Shuttle drivers do not need a special driver’s license. We provide supplemental insurance and mileage reimbursement for our Volunteer Transportation Drivers. All of our drivers love what they do. Join them and volunteer to help in your community!
