Activity Center Special Events

All of our Special Events are held at Des Moines Activity Center, 2045 S. 216th. Suggested donation for each special event meal is $3.00.

Valentines Day
Tuesday, February 14th, 12noon.
Wear your Heart Day at the Activity Center. Wear red to celebrate this special day and to honor February as Health Heart Month.
Prizes given for the guest who wears the most red. A delicious meal will be severed.

Leap from bed to breakfast and celebrate Leap Year with us!
Wednesday, February 19th 10:45am
A playful morning at Des Moines Activity Center complete with a PJ parade and activities - take your pick; board games, trivia or enjoy mini TLC massage sessions from wellness Sanctuary!
Brunch served at 10:45am features a scrumptious French Toast Casserole.
$3/suggested donation for adults age 60 and better.
$5.75 adults under age 60!

St. Patrick's Day
Luck of the Irish on Wednesday March 14th, 12noon
We will serve the traditional Irish meal of cornbeef and cabbage, and enjoy the plucky Irish songs performed by the Huntington Park Choir.
