We host a variety of drop-in activities that meet weekly at the Des Moines Activity Center.

SUNDAY SENIOR DANCES
Slip on your dancing shoes and join us for toe-tappin’ live band music on the following dates:   
4th Sunday of every month.
Location:   Des Moines Activity Center, 2045 S. 216th Street.
Cost:   $5 per person.
Time:  1-4pm
Refreshments provided by following participants:

BATTER-UP – COED SOFTBALL
Cheer-on our Co-ed Softball Teams as they get into full swing with homes games- played on fields at Stephen J. Underwood Park in Des Moines on Tuesdays and Thursdays through early August.   Teams are made up of active adults fifty-five and better.  Pick-up a league game schedule at the Activity Center.  Please contact Abbie Nielsen at Des Moines Activity Center (878-1642) for more details and team sponsorship opportunities.

GOLF OUTINGS
Enjoy playing 9 holes at Puget Sound courses with fellow golfers. Transportation available on a first paid basis.
All players draw numbers to determine playing partners and tee position.
Departure from DMAC varies from 8-8:30am.
Return time varies

Golfers

Wii BOWLING
From the satisfying sound of a STRIKE and the hopeful hush of a spare, Wii Bowling transports you to the bowling alley of your youth! Drop-in matches and traveling competition – you’ll find it all with Des Moines Activity Center. New players are welcome to drop-in on practice days and avid players are encouraged to join our The Des Moines Destroyers Wii bowling team.

PET FOOD ASSISTANCE
The Humane Society of Seattle/King County aids seniors on limited incomes in providing assistance with pet food.  Call the Activity Center at (206) 878-1642 for an application.  This is a free service.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for all Activity Center classes, and day trips, no questions asked, thanks to the generosity of the Des Moines Legacy Foundation.  Do no let a lack of funds keep you from participating in our activities.  For more information please call the Activity Center.
