May 27th
Many retirees have completed a statutory Health Care Directive which merely addresses a client’s desire regarding the administration of nutrition and hydration in the event of terminal illness.  What the statutory format does not consider are issues such as CPR, antibiotics, ventilation, blood transfusion, etc.  Your direction to your family regarding life sustaining procedures can significantly reduce the anxiety of family having to guess about your wishes.  Issues surrounding the use and implementation of a Health Care Directive will discussed at this session.  All attendees will have an opportunity to complete a Health Care Directive which goes beyond nutrition and hydration.
