Downtown Water Main Replacement Project
Project Update:  December 16, 2011

The water main on Marine View Drive between 225th and 223rd is now complete. The water main on 220th between Marine View Drive and 7th Avenue is also complete. All sidewalk/driveways for on MVD between 225th and 223rd is also complete. Work has now commenced on the water main Drive on Marine View between 223rd and 222nd. All sidewalks and driveways will be restored before proceeding to the next block north of 222nd. Work will be suspended for the Holidays between December 24 and January 2.

1/27 - 2/3 Final testing and connections
2/6 - 2/16 Paving and pavement markings
2/16 - 2/20 Cleanup and demobilize

Project Description

The project provides for approximately 4,400 lineal feet of new 12-inch water main, including four 100 foot directional borings below Marine View Drive at 220th Street, 222nd Street, 225th Street and 226th Street.  Approximately 3,000 lineal feet will be under the west sidewalk or outside of the road fog line on Marine View Drive and 1,000 lineal feet will be on the four side streets (220th, 222nd, 225th and 226th) between Marine View Drive and 7th Avenue connecting to the existing water mains on the east side of Marine View Drive.
