Downtown Water Main Replacement Project
Project Update: 
March 8th, 2012

FINAL UPDATE

All of the water mains for the project are now complete and have been activated. All of the sidewalk areas have also been restored. Hand railing at various locations will be installed over the next two weeks. Paving is scheduled for the first week in April whereupon the temporary paving patches will be removed and permanent paving made. On the sidestreets, the streets will have a half-street pavement overlay..

Project Description

The project provides for approximately 4,400 lineal feet of new 12-inch water main, including four 100 foot directional borings below Marine View Drive at 220th Street, 222nd Street, 225th Street and 226th Street.  Approximately 3,000 lineal feet will be under the west sidewalk or outside of the road fog line on Marine View Drive and 1,000 lineal feet will be on the four side streets (220th, 222nd, 225th and 226th) between Marine View Drive and 7th Avenue connecting to the existing water mains on the east side of Marine View Drive.
