Mission Statement
Public Works Department
The Public Works Department's mission is to plan, construct, and maintain safe, attractive, and functional transportation system; to maintain, protect, and improve the city's surface water resources; and to provide the city fleet management services.
Surface Water And Transportation Engineering Division
The Engineering Division responds to citizen requests, plans for capital improvements, manages projects, reviews development proposals, and inspects construction in city rights-of-way and easements.
Maintenance Division
It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Division to maintain all streets, sidewalks, drainage ditches, storm water collection system, and detention/retention systems in a manner that will extend their useful life, protect the environment, and ensure a safe environment for the public.
