Crime Free Housing ProgramThe Des Moines Crime-Free Housing Program is an active coalition of property owners, managers, residents and law enforcement working together to improve the quality of life for the residents of Des Moines. Under the Crime Free Rental Housing ordinance that was passed in November of 2004, all property owners and managers are required to attend a minimum of 8 hours of landlord training. The Des Moines Police Department offers these training sessions throughout the year. The sessions are free of charge; however you must reserve a space in order to attend. The training sessions are open to owners, managers, leasing agents and maintenance staff. As a reminder these trainings are required every 3 years. 2008 Landlord 101 Training March 5, 2008 If you would like to reserve a spot for an upcoming training, or would like more information contact CSO Tonya Seaberry at (206) 870-7619 or email at cfh@desmoineswa.gov. |
