Citywide Blockwatch
The Des Moines Police Department is taking blockwatch on a new path.  Instead of attending a meeting in your neighborhood to learn about crime stats for your specific neighborhood, the Des Moines Police Department invite you to come to our house and learn about what crimes are occur in the area and how you can protect yourself and your family.   The Des Moines Police Department will be hosting Crime Awareness Seminars throughout the year.  These seminars will be beneficial and informative information for everyone.   The goal of these meetings is not to start a blockwatch in your community, but a way to get safety information out to the community.

Below is the 2007 Crime Awareness schedule.  If you would like more information about the crime awareness seminars or blockwatch in general please contact the Des Moines Police Department Community Service Unit at (206) 870-7619.

All sessions will be held in the Des Moines Police Department Public Meeting Room.  Seminars will start at 6:30pm and concluded around 8:00pm.
