On behalf of the Des Moines, Washington police family I would like to welcome you to our World Wide Web page. I am honored to have the privilege of serving the beautiful waterfront community of Des Moines and the hard working men and women of the Des Moines Police Department.
The mission statement for the Des Moines Police Department is the backbone of how our department provides service to our community. It is the strength that guides our employees to be the highly professional and dedicated group of individuals they are. We work very hard to provide high quality service and close interaction with our citizens. Our motto of Community First is truly what our service is all about.
Being one with our community is important to us, we encourage our citizens to stop in and share your thoughts and ideas with us. Together we can be successful in addressing issues of crime and social needs.

Police Service to our community is a ever changing. Our community is a fundamental part of the accomplishments that has made our agency the progressive department it is.
