CAMP KHAOS

Where K.H.A.O.S. stands for ---  Kids Having An Outrageous Summer

KHAOS 2  (K2)

The next generation of Camp KHAOS!  K2 is outrageous fun, cool adventures and exciting trips for teens ages 11-15 years.  Two field trips per week! We’ll be going on all the Camp KHAOS Thursday field trips, as well as, a K2 only field trip on Tuesdays! (Day subject to change)  Plus---Swimming every week!

Ages: 11-15 years
Days/Time:  M-F / 6:30am-6pm
Location:  The Des Moines Beach Park- 22030 Cliff Avenue South
Dates:  TBA
Cost:  $140/week *Early registration or $150 late registration

A one-time camp registration fee of $15.00 is required for all participants.

Each registered participant will receive an official Camp KHAOS T-shirt!

CAMP KHAOS Schedule & K2 Schedule*
*Field trips and field trip schedule subject to change.  Due to reserving tickets for various field trips, it is necessary to sign up one week prior to the first day of each camp week.  Late sign ups may be unable to attend certain field trips.

Staff:  The Camp KHAOS and K2 staff consists of trained recreation leaders with a variety of skills and interests who have dedicated themselves to making your child’s experience a memorable one.  NOTE:  PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME—PLEASE SHARE YOUR TALENTS!

Lunch:  Morning and afternoon snacks are provided.  Campers MUST bring a lunch and plenty of H20!

Registration:  Registration can be made in person at the Des Moines Field House, phone, fax or mail.  Cash, check, and Credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) are accepted.   Checks should be made payable to the City of Des Moines.  Registration is not finalized until registration, medical and emergency information forms are completed and full payment is submitted.

Scholarships:  Scholarships are available to those in need.  Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at:  (206) 870-6527 for an application.  Scholarships have been made possible through the support of the Des Moines Rotary.
