Recycling
Recycling is available at no cost to all residential households that sign up for garbage service through SeaTac Disposal. The disposal company provides all the bins and curbside pickup every other week on your normal garbage day.

DISPOSAL SITES There are several disposal sites that specialize in collecting a variety of materials. The addresses, phone number and hours of operation of the various facilities follow.
Bow Lake Transfer Station 18800 Orillia Road South Recycling Services Closed Operational Hours: Weekdays: 12 am Mon through 7 am Sat (24 hours), Sat & Sun: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm There is a fee for garbage, but recyclables are collected free. Recycling services all Bow Lake have been closed since March 16, 2009 as we've started a multi-year renovation project to rebuild the station. (206) 296-4466 Alternate recycling options.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTES To dispose of hazardous materials such as paints, thinners and pesticides, visit metrokc.gov/hazwaste/wastemobile/ or call (206) 296-4692 for the schedule and location of King County’s Household Hazardous Wastemobile and the location of the South Seattle Transfer Station Haz Shed.
AUTOMOTIVE OILS Many automotive stores and service stations recycle oil and filters. Call your favorite store and find out what materials are accepted. If you have any questions or need more information you can call the City’s recycling coordinator are (206) 870-6595.
